Roof Top Cafe Reviews |

Coming
from Nashville, Tennessee, our trip to Key West was beautiful! While the
weather remained close in temperatures, the soothing waters of the fantastic
Key West beaches made it more than pleasant. My husband and I had never been
to Florida, and this trip has guaranteed our return next year!
One of the best parts of our vacation was having the opportunity to eat at a
great restaurant called Rooftop Cafe. Before we left Tennessee we had done a
bit of research about Key West restaurants, and this one was highly
recommended and rated. I made our reservations of the final night of our
vacation, as a nice goodbye treat. The reviews could not be more right! This
restaurant is perfect in every way, from the intimate setting above the
Mallory Square to the incredible and very tasty "Island foods".
As soon as we entered the restaurant we were taken away by the beautiful
ambiance of this restaurant. White tablecloths lined the tables, each with a
candle sitting atop. We were quickly greeted and taken to our table. We had
a very friendly young lady to serve us, and what a fine job she did! She was
very helpful in explaining menu items and helping us choose a wine from
their very extensive list. She was very attentive and always made sure we
were well taken care of.
My husband and I started our meal sharing a Herb Dusted Goat Cheese salad.
The salad was huge, and absolutely amazing. We went separate on our entrees,
with my choice being Seared Yellow fin Tuna. He opted for the Rack of Lamb.
The food was flavorful, cooked to perfection, served in proportionate sizes.
It was our first experience eating Caribbean food, and it will not be our
last! The food was delicious, and presented at our table in such beauty you
almost hated to mess it up! There were so many great things on the menu it
was really hard to choose. There was a Bison steak, shrimp, scallops, filet
mignon-so many things! Of course we had to try a slice of the infamous Key
Lime pie offered here. You can believe all the hype-it is good!
Our total bill was right around $100, and well worth every penny. I am glad
we chose to dine here, and we will return during our next Key West vacation!
