Nine One Five Restaurant Reviews
My return
home after a long vacation in Key West, Florida was very sad. I had such a
good time in Key West I didn't want to ever leave! Since I was celebrating
my 24th birthday, it was nothing but good times for the entire 7 days I was
able to spend in Key West!
Along for the trip were my three best friends ever! They decided to make my
trip extra special and take me to the Nine One Five Bistro located on the
Key West strip. What great friends I am blessed to have! This place is
incredible, and made for a memorable night.
The Nine One Five Bistro sits in a Victorian-style mansion dating back to
1906. It is amazing from the outside and I knew I was in for something
special once inside! I was not disappointed, to say the least! While it
looks extraordinary, the atmosphere is very casual and laid back. We felt
welcomed inside the restaurant, and received the best service we could ever
ask for.
We decided to start the night with a few glasses of wine. It is a wine bar,
after all! They offer wines by both the glass and bottle, and the list of
wines is very extensive. Once we were ready to eat, our server explained the
choices we were interested in. If you're looking for fresh Tapas
restaurants, this is the only one we found on the island and it's got to be
one of the best in the world in my opinion. Tapas must be very fresh and the
preparation is critical. Nine One Five is first class and their Tapas chef
is highly skilled.
The food portions are a bit small, but that's the idea with Tapas is to
order several different choices. They were presented so beautifully too. The
entrees are nicely portioned and one bite was all it took. Instant love.
Flavorful, cooked just-right, it was some of the best food I have ever
eaten. The menu consists of great items like clams, chowder, fried calamari,
Sea Scallop Risotto, Pork Chops, and more. I had the Rosemary Chicken. It
was served with steam vegetables, and was juicy, tender, and bursting with
flavor. My friends opted for a Duck Confit Salad and the Vietnamese Chicken
Rolls. They were equally as satisfied with their choices.
After our meal we decided to have a few more glasses of wine and sit back
and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere here. We spent a little bit of money, but
it was money that could not have been better spent! The evening was
spectacular, the food amazing. This is one restaurant you must visit for a
truly terrific Key West experience!
