Grand Cafe Reviews

I recently visited Key West for a friends wedding weekend. There were lots of things to do and see but the favorite place that I visited was a restaurant called The Grand Cafe. It was very elegant and the perfect place for a cozy dinner for two.

The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. We visited as the sun was setting and the view was breathtaking. It is situated in an old, Victorian house. There is a garden out back with a few tables that is somewhat secluded for quite dining. It's the perfect local for a couple who wants a private, romantic dinner on one of those balmy Key West evenings. If gardens are not your thing, they also have a beautiful wrap around porch where you can dine.

The food at the Grand Cafe was nothing less than fabulous! I had the surf and turf herb potatoes and steamed vegetables. The steak was cooked just right. It was juicy and delicious right off of the grill. The lobster was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. My husband had the blue fin tuna and it was cooked perfectly rare just as described. It came with a large salad and black sesame rice noodles.

I was very impressed with the large selection of wine available. They claim to have one of the most extensive wine lists in the state of Florida and I believe it. You can buy by the glass or half bottle. They offer wine from all major parts of the world. We tried a wonderful red wine from Spain that went well with our dinner.

The food was so great that we ended up going back the following day for lunch. We dined on the wrap around porch and watched the flow of people up and down Duval Street. We both had fish sandwiches and a different red wine that day.

All in all, I have to say that if I had the opportunity to visit Key West again I would love to dine at The Grand Cafe again. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious. I will certainly be making a repeat visit on my next trip!
