Lobster House is a wonderful fine dining seafood restaurant. The location is
perfect, right off the marina. They have tables available outside on the
deck that come with a stunning view of the water. I highly recommend the
oysters Rockefeller. I love oysters. Everyone raved about how delicious
these were. The scallops are also very good. They melt in your mouth. Their
seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Their lobster pasta has a creamy
tomato sauce and goat cheese with sausage. It is very flavorful.
There menu includes items such as appetizers of shrimp cocktail, summer
salad, lobster medallions, fried seafood platter and escargot. They take
care of the little details, such as serving butter that is in the shape of
an A & B. Another nice detail is the caviar garnish that is included with
some meals. Main meals include lobster thermidor, lobster bisque, crab,
fillet mignon, stuffed shrimp, oysters, clams, scallops, red snapper, seared
tuna, lobster pasta, and shrimp pasta, just to name a few. For dessert I
would recommend the key lime pie. The creme brulee is also very good. They
also offer a chocolate cake. Although, I have never personally had it, I
have heard it is one of the best if not the best chocolate cake ever.
It is a fairly pricey restaurant, however their prices were in the same
range as other seafood restaurants in the area serving good surf and turf. Considering it is an upscale
fine dining experience, it is reasonably priced. They do offer early bird
prices of any starter before 6:30 p.m. During this time you can get any
starter for half price. It is definitely a fine dining luxurious experience.
If you want an upscale nice night out with that someone special, this is the
place for you.
The portions of good sized, the food is excellent, and the wait staff are
very helpful and accommodating. If you are ever in the Key West area and are
looking for a romantic evening or just a place to relax and enjoy seafood
while enjoying a beautiful view, the A & B Lobster House is the place for
you! It is an overall great experience!
