Cypress House Key West
ReviewsMy husband and I just returned from a lovely stay at the Cypress House in Key West. There were quite a few measures of the best hotel when looking for a place to stay on a once a year vacation. We both work really hard and getting away for us means kiddie free zones. There's nothing quite as frustrating as being nearly sleeping in a bliss of relaxation in the deep end of a heated pool and out of nowhere with no warning you hear "cannon ball!" and a rambunctious child slashes into the pool right next to you. Without fail, this seems to happen to me no matter where I stay. Even a five star resort will not prevent this from happening and it is not a great way to start your day or vacation. No kids, adults oriented and stumbling distance from the main area of down town were the top criteria.
I made the right choice as I spent hours of peaceful quiet relaxation in a heated pool and appreciated nice furnishings around the pool, not the typical plastic strap lounge chairs. The room we got had a queen and was in a word elegant. I've stayed in some high end hotels and resorts that did not have the charm and class this inn has for twice the price. Rates are competitive with other bnb's and guesthouses in the immediate area and cheaper than the big family friendly resorts. You can't beat the location, atmosphere and quality for the money. We don't get to travel much, but when we do a great hotel like this one is very important. You'll be very happy here if you're with your significant other or single.
