Key West Bed and Breakfast

Key West Bed and Breakfast - We liked the ambiance of this BnB. There's a nice deck up the second from with comfy chairs and a hammock. It's not overcrowded and the breakfast is great. It was to down town but far enough away to enjoy a good nights rest. The rates are cheap when you compare them to other hotels in the area.

Jacuzzi - Sauna - Free Breakfast

Westwinds Guesthouse

Westwinds - Westwinds was the perfect setting for our wedding party. We got a great deal on several rooms and they really took good care of us. The two pools are nice and have mature trees all around them. We got married by the back pool in the gazebo and it was a heavenly setting. We'll be staying at the Westwinds whenever we travel to Key West.

Pools - Lounge - Breakfast

Albury Court

Albury Court - The Albury Court is formerly the Eaton Manor, which we stayed in years ago. They have expanded and upgraded this bed and breakfast extensively. It's still cheap enough, but many time more luxurious that what it used to be. We loved the dipping pool with the water fall. Nice BnB at low rates. Can't beat it.

Pool - Breakfast - Wifi

 Duval Inn

Duval Inn - We've traveled to the island several times on vacation and business and we no longer look around for the best deals because we know exactly where to go. The Duval Inn has the best location. As the name suggests, it's right off Duval street in the exact middle of it all. You can go left or right and walk about the same distance to the end. Above the great location the beds are tremendously comfortable and the quality you get from this place can not be beaten for their rates. The only problem is getting a room. It's been discovered.

Pool - Free Breakfast - Parking

Merlin Inn - The Merlin is in a gated compound and we got a really good deal. Our room faced Simonton street and they did have rooms that face the property, but for the price, we really didn't care about what direction the room faced. We didn't spend any time looking out the window. Breakfast was good quality and we walked down to the beach every day.

Pool - Free Breakfast

Key Lime Inn - The Key Lime Inn has plenty of parking, which is a premium when you travel here. I was surprised that so many bed and breakfasts in Key West didn't have any parking lot. Most don't and it can take a while to find a spot. Then you have to leave your car parked several blocks away which we don't like. Little things like a parking lot are more important than we thought. Key Lime has a big lot and a great accommodation too.

Pool - Close to Beach - Free Breakfast

Chelsea House - The Chelsea House is also the former Red Rooster Inn. We've been staying here for years and they combined the two former mansions and have created a truly amazing property. The pool is big and there's a lot of space to lay out or just relax. Most bed and breakfasts are really cramped for space, especially if they have a pool. Not the Chelsea House. Plenty of space and top notch rooms. We were able to bring our little dog with us too, which can be really hard to find a nice place. This is a really nice place to stay.

Pool - Pet Friendly - Free Breakfast

Papa's Hideaway - We stayed at the Papas Hideaway a few weeks ago and it really is hidden away from the hustle and bustle noise of old town. It's right around the corner from the southernmost beach which is a plush white sand beach. We laid out most of the day and came back and sat in the hot tub in the evenings and toured the wonderful restaurants around the hotel. It was a great vacation that was cheaper than staying at the big resorts and over crowded hotels.

Pool - Wifi - Free Breakfast - Kitchenettes

Mermaid and the Alligator

Mermaid and the Alligator - My husband and I travel to Key West at least once a year and have stayed in many different hotels and bed and breakfasts. Last week we chose to stay at the Mermaid and the Alligator and I wanted to write a review about them and let other travelers know that this BnB is really special. First of all they have a courtyard setting and a restored historic mansion that is huge compared to most of the other properties on the island. The staff is extremely welcoming and the evening wine tasting provided an opportunity to meet and hang out with other people on vacation. In that atmosphere, everyone is happy and talking about how great life is which is just contagious and positive. We had the opportunity to be in an environment each evening that really let us forget about "real" life. That was worth it alone, because we just needed to escape reality for a while. Clean comfortable rooms and we departed making reservations for our next trip down to stay there again.

Pool - Free Breakfast - Free Evening Wine

Island City House

Island City House - The Island City House is a great place to stay in Key West and we consider it to be the best vacation destination in Florida. There is so much to do here and it's all close by. The grounds are like a tropical oasis of palms trees and winding pathways. It's a magical setting to get away from it all. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruits and a nice variety of food that was higher quality than most Inns and guesthouses offering free breakfast. We got a huge suite with a full kitchen, French doors opening up to the pool and covered porch that had chairs and a hammock. Considering the location and the rates it was more than a good deal, it was an absolute steal for what we got. Highly recommended over the hotels for the same price.

Paradise Inn

Paradise Inn - My husband and I stay at the Paradise Inn each each. We love Key West and this is the best hotel by far. It's not just the rooms, which are fantastic, the waterfall pool which is gorgeous, the comfy beds which are like sleeping on a cloud, the location which is close to the beach and Duval. What really makes this a great accommodation is the staff and service you get. It's not just friendly, they really create an atmosphere that is unique even for a luxury hotel. They ask about your day, and genuinely care that you have the best vacation possible. Chatting with other guests, almost everyone is a repeat client and that says it all.

Pool - Parking - Free Breakfast

La Mer & Dewey House -  I just returned from a fantasy honeymoon at the Dewey House in Key West. We had an eclectic luxury suite with French doors opening up to a private porch and could walk out onto the beach whenever we felt the notion. We laid on the encompassing King bed and let the ocean breeze roll into the room. It was like a dream. This property is high luxury with an island style. The staff is courteous and really laid back and cool. You can tell they are happy to be working there. This is the best bed and breakfast in Key West and in all my travel around the world, the best anywhere. Incredible experience.
