We just got back from an awesome vacation to Key West. We looked around for the best deals on hotels in Key West and found the Fairfield Inn by Marriott listed here. They advertised heavily that they just finished renovating the hotel and honestly it didn't look like the typical renovated hotel. We were a little skeptical just because most of the time when a hotel advertises that it's been renovated, they just put in new lamps or replace the carpet or something that is more maintenance. My husband said it looked like they tore down the old hotel and put up a new one. This is not a modest or upgraded renovation. They did a major and complete renovation and does not look like they spared expenses. I think they could fairly call it a new hotel, because it really is new. In looking for a place to stay at off season rates, we wanted something with a pool for sure and parking for our car. The Fairfield has a nice gym too, so when it came time to compare other resort hotels in the area, the Fairfield ended up being the cheapest one. Again though, there was nothing cheap about the accommodations. Key West is a small but super fun place. Off season is the time to come too. The resorts with the same amenities in season were ridiculously high priced. So kudos to the Fairfield Inn for creating a stellar hotel and keeping their rates affordable. We'll definitely stay here for the next vacation.

I too found the Fairfield Inn in Key West to be the best deal. The rooms were great and luxurious compared to a lot of other places we've stayed in on past vacations. The pool and deck area is really nice. They did a great job with the renovations and if you want the amenities, the rates are actually cheaper than the other places that are mostly on the water. If you're willing to give up the ocean views and being right on the beach, then the Fairfield is the one to beat. There are a handful of other name brand hotels in key west, but most of them are the typical corporate feel. We've stayed in several of the cheaper places but you'll give up the pool a lot of the time and you certainly give up a lot of quality for a little better price. IMO it just isn't worth it. This particular Fairfield is not like any other I've ever stayed in and I think they are really providing a higher quality hotel and resort atmosphere than most. Highly recommended for a safe clean place to stay in Key West.
