Eden House Key West Reviews My husband and I like to read and write these reviews online when we travel and this vacation we booked the Eden House. I chose it mainly because of the amenities and location. The reviews were fantastic and I knew this was a winner. A Hotel in Key West with a heated pool is actually somewhat hard to find. I guess in the summer it's not that much of a big deal, but we're softies and like a nice comfortable pool temperature of we just won't use it. The temperature was perfect if you are such a connoisseur as myself. We've had some pools that were actually too warm and it wasn't refreshing. This was well kept as far as cleanliness goes too. A lot of times the staff lets the pool go a few days without getting out the leaves and such. And the setting was spectacular! Hammocks and a nice quite setting by the pool was perfect for a nap or reading a book. Of which I did both a lot. We ran into some other guests who had been traveling and vacationing all through the Caribbean and had spent many vacations in Key West. They said they always stay at the Eden House and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I second that opinion after staying in this great hotel. Daily happy hour made for opportunities to meet several other guests who also had a wonderful stay. We met several first timers and several couples that had been vacationing in Key West for years. We didn't hear one complaint other than the property isn't right on Duval Street, but it was agreed that being a little bit off of Duval with all the bars, nightlife and noise was better. The Eden House is within easy walking distance to all the bars and restaurants Key West is famous for and when you do end up on Duval, you're at the "party" end. There is a main section of Duval towards the Mallory square end with the best bars and everything else, so the location of the Eden House is perfect. We were also very happy with the staff. There a very notable difference between staying in a big hotel were you're obviously just another guest among countless others, and a hotel that only has a small group of guests. It's nice to be remembered and actually have the staff ask how your day was and if they can help you pick a restaurant for dinner. Little conversations with the staff resulted in finding places we would have otherwise never found and we could tell they really cared that we were happy and enjoyed our vacation. Most hotels staff just give you the text book hello and goodbye knowing they'll never see you again. Case in point, when we were leaving, we had a chat about when we come back and all the things we still wanted to do, including staying longer next time! It will certainly be at the Eden house, that's for sure.
