Why I fell in love with the Center Court in Key West, Florida

My husband and I just got back from a fabulous week in Key West, Florida. We had wanted to go to the Keys for a long time but something else always came up. Finally, after a long cold winter, we decided to go and enjoy the warm sunshine of the Keys.

I started to research resorts and hotels in the area and when I spotted the Center Court in Key West I knew that was the place for us. The very first words that I saw were "pet friendly" and we love any place that loves dogs.

The location of Center Court is in historic Old Town Key West on a very quiet lane but Duval Street and all the activity you can handle is an easy walk. There are several different lodgings available at Center Court. There are guest house rooms, honeymoon rooms and sunset suits. These accommodations are disbursed in and around the gardens of the property and there is sufficient privacy for everyone. Just walking through the grounds you will see beautiful flowering plants as well as key lime trees.

All of the rooms and suites are extremely well appointed, so leave your hair dryer at home. They even provide you a beach bag so you can tote your beach towels and sunscreen in ease. The cottages have full kitchens. We stayed in one of the cottages and believe it or not actually did use the kitchen to prepare dinner one evening.

You can reserve accommodations for an evening, a week or a month. There are so many options for rooms that it is impossible to list them all here. Be sure to check their website for special rates, or give them a call and ask your questions. All the staff members that we interacted with were courteous, friendly and very helpful.

Our cottage room was beautifully appointed and we felt pampered. It felt like we were on an island in the Caribbean. We even rented a moped for a day and cruised around like two young kids. It was great fun and very relaxing. We had a private hot tub on the porch where we felt free to go clothing optional without worry of thrilling the neighbors.

If you want to go snorkeling or take a sunset cruise, just ask the concierge desk and they will take care of all the details. They can also point out some wonderful restaurants that you will enjoy.

We are already making plans to go back next spring and we look forward to it.
